  Elyn J. Shindler

Elyn J. Shindler, Writer & Executive Producer

Elyn's commitment to teaching tolerance through the
arts has incorporated her training with Facing History
and Ourselves as well as her work with the Mizel Museum of Judaica's "Bridges of Understanding" program. In addition to her 15+ years of classroom experience, Elyn has produced two film shorts for the
Anti-Defamation League's Youth Leadership Mission and contributed filmic and musical elements for Erika Kaufman's nationally-acclaimed Holocaust play "Voice" (2000).

She has authored and published five biographies, three of which documented the lives of Holocaust survivors. The script for Bella's Star was inspired by the recent passing of Elyn's father, Samuel Shindler, also a Holocaust survivor. To this script Elyn brings the culmination of her teaching, writing, and artistic expertise along with the intention of bringing yesterday's lessons to tomorrow's youth through a meaningful and timelessly contemporary vehicle.

Andrew Arell

Andrew Arell, Producer

In 2007, Andrew established Rapture Collaborative Media as a documentary production agency, conceptually driven toward enrapturing audiences in the poetic and narrative capacity of the motion picture medium. His emergence as a filmmaker coalesced out of the anthropological notions embodied in his abstract short- Huella. This singular work was envisioned and produced as an artistic act of intention- to engage humanity nakedly upon the plane of existence as a sublime meditation on the holy ephemerality of fleeting existence.

In producing Bella's Star, Arell has embarked upon his first effort in the hybrid field of narrative driven documentary. He believes there is great imperative to address the topic of human indignity and societal self-destruction within the context of this contemporary parable.
